A Message from the Principal
July 2021
Dear Toffolon Families and Caregivers,
I am honored and excited to be the Principal of Louis Toffolon Elementary School. The Toffolon community is an incredibly special place and one that I feel lucky to be a part of.
Being a part of the Plainville Community Schools family since 2006 has afforded me the opportunity to support our district vision and goals in various teaching and leadership positions across our elementary schools. As a classroom teacher, literacy resource teacher, math and science resource teacher, and most recently, as the district elementary math and science instructional leader, it has become clearer and clearer just how special the community of Plainville is. All along the journey, I have been fortunate to have been mentored by incredible teachers, school, and district leaders who have shown me the true meaning of “the Plainville way.”
It would be impossible to write about Toffolon school without acknowledging one of those mentors and her immense dedication: Mrs. Lynn Logoyke. Mrs. Logoyke led Toffolon School for twenty four years and her influence on students, staff, families, and the community is what has enabled such a joy filled and successful school. I am thankful to have been able to be a part of honoring, thanking, and congratulating Mrs. Logoyke on a legacy that I know will be felt here for many, many years to come.
The culture and climate of Toffolon is well known as positive, inclusive and proactive. There is a strong, established history of success, high expectations for staff and students, and a focus on learning coupled with an environment that values empathy, kindness and the growth of every child. This combination of safety, trust and belonging, along with rigorous and engaging instruction, is what allows our Toffolonians to achieve their highest goals and ambitions. It is work I am proud to be a part of and look forward to continuing and growing. I am looking forward to partnering and collaborating together for the best interests of all our children.
With Tiger Pride,
Alicia Atterrato
